2-Day Hands-on Mods and Rockers Workshop | Oakland, CA | August 20-21, 2023
Class Description:
What will you take away from the Mods and Rockers Workshop? This will be an inspirational seminar focused on men’s hair and the huge importance of this loyal clientele within our industry. We will look at suitability and functionality, structure and shape, while creating a masculine head shape geared towards the individual and their lifestyle. We will discuss texturizing techniques, weight removal, and detailing. Will scissors be the best choice or razor or both? All of this while developing your ‘eye’ so as to turn a good haircut into a great one...with a little rock and roll edge of course.
Prerequisites:
All stylists must be licensed hairdressers that have at least two years of experience on the floor and at least one year of razor experience.

Crystal Gerard was a Bumble + bumble Stylist and Educator for over 15 years. In addition to working in the salons she facilitated training classes throughout North America as a Lead Educator and recently became "Official Stylist" to Mile of Music in Appleton, Wisconsin. Crystal spearheaded the "Alpha" men's presentation in 2017 showcasing the importance on men's hair and their presence in the industry and contributed to a David Bowie men's hair tribute published in Beauty Launchpad. She has cut various bands hair over the years, including Benjamin Orr of The Cars, Anthony Kiedis, Butch Walker and The Marvelous 3, The Struts, and The Posies.
